Dr. Abhinav Rajan is a Research Associate at the Thermal and Fluid Transport Laboratory, IIT Patna, working with Dr. Rishi Raj and Dr. Ashwani Assam on the thermal management of thermally controlled modules of optronic devices. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras, where he developed specialized expertise in solar thermal collectors and thermal energy storage for process heating applications. During his PhD, he served as a Visiting Research Student at the University of Sydney through the International Immersion Experience Award and IIT Madras Alumni Travel Grant, where he studied thermal energy storage for performance assessment. Before his PhD, he served as an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, Patna. His research focuses on modeling complex thermal systems and advancing renewable energy applications.
