Tonmoy joined the TFTL in 2020 during his M.Tech project and worked in improving the machine learning techniques for predicting the thermal runaway in pool boiling applications. Later he joined as a PhD student in the same lab in 2021 in an Indo-Korea project on condensation heat transfer before receiving the Prime Minister's Research Fellowship. Now he focuses on designing lubricant infused surfaces for droplet removal applications including condensation.
